Forster/Tuncurry offers a contrasting world of good food, cinemas, ten-pin bowling, an aquatic centre, fun parks and excellent shopping. Smiths Lake is a community of around a thousand people on the northern shore of the lake of the same name. Myall and Wallis Lakes are large and well known lakes in the area with Smiths Lake nestles between them. The road in to Smiths Lake comes off The Lakes Way (which links Bulahdelah and Forster/Tuncurry), and Sandpiper is right down on the waters edge to the east of the town.
